New RESPECT campaign
Saffron Walden Hockey Club has launched a new RESPECT campaign. Essential reading for players, spectators and visitors to the club, the campaign will be promoted on posters and banners that will be placed around the ground and club house.

Saffron Walden provide the ball patrol at Champions Trophy
Members of SWHC and pupils at Joyce Frankland Academy were selected to provide the ball patrol for the Cahmpions Trophy at Lee Valley.

Juniors play at Olympic Park
On Friday, 1st and Saturday, 2nd Jan, some of the Junior teams at Saffron Walden Hockey Club played in the Indoor Hockey 2016 Competition at the Copperbox, Olympic Park. All games were played to a high level against stiff opposition, including Canterbury, Surbiton & the UK Lions, some of the top UK Junior Teams.

Bronze Medals for U16 Girls at Copperbox
Saffron Walden U16 girls finished 3rd at the Copperbox indoor tounament on New Year's Day, picking up bronze medals in the process. Walden, making their debut at the Copperbox, put in an outstanding performance finishing the day with four wins and two losses.

Saffron Walden U12 boys qualify for National Finals!
Saffron Walden U12 boys team won the East Championships for the first time in the club's history last Sunday. They qualified for the semi-finals by beating Royston and Blue Hornets and drawing with Norwich and Bury St. Edmunds. The semi final saw them beating Harleston Magpies 2-0, with Connor Webb and Aaron MacDermott on target and then they went on to defeat their Cambridgeshire rivals, Cambridge City, 1-0 in the final with Hugo Colclough finishing clinically after great work by Alec Bird and Josh Webb. The team will now take on the top teams in England at the National Finals in Beeston on May 9th.
The squad was Ollie Donohoe, Oliver Lindsell, James Inkley, Ben Haynes, Hugo Colclough, Connor Webb, Josh Webb, Alec Bird and Aaron MacDermott.
