Summer Hockey 2019

Hi Everyone
Thanks for registering to play summer hockey and a special thanks to those who have agreed to captain a team or umpire, we cannot run this without you.
Your captain will make contact with you in the near future to confirm which team you are in and also to ask availability for the first match.
This email provides the following details:
- Schedule of who is playing when including umpires - see attached spreadsheet

Details
- There is a small charge for playing summer hockey and details of how to pay this via the online payment system. Summer Hockey Payment
- Please let your captain know if you can or can’t play as soon as possible. If your availability changes, again please let them know as soon as possible
- The first named team will play in purple; the second in white but please bring both purple and white shirts in case a team is short and players need to swap
- Matches will start on Tuesday 28th May and finish on Thursday 18th July. Please note that there are no matches in the week of 3rdJune due to so many players having exams!
- There will be 8 teams. The first match starts promptly at 7:00 pm and the second at 8:30 pm
Rules
- Play once a week - if teams are short they will take from their opposition to even out the numbers of players and keep the teams fair
- The matches are intended as friendlies - please play them in this spirit
- Respect and support umpires. If we receive any complaints from umpires regarding players, those players will not be allowed to continue playing summer hockey this year.
- No reverse hits on goal
- A female player to take the first shot on goal from a short corner
