HOCKEY FAMILY, HELP US TO KEEP PLAYING HOCKEY SAFELY!

Dear all,

 The news announced on 2 December is a positive step with clubs and players allowed to return to some form of hockey in all areas of the country. However, there are some restrictions in place that will disrupt hockey as we know it, in particular around travel and league activity. We are aware that some players will be stopped by the Tiers getting to your usual club venue and we have encouraged other clubs to help you out if you are in that situation.

As participants you have a really important role in making sure that you, your teammates and colleagues are being compliant and adhering to the latest guidance. Together we can ensure that hockey can continue to be played.

The main areas of concern are around the off-field activities and socialising. Please continue to follow best practice and reflect hockey in the best possible light. The government have stated that dispensation could be removed where sports abuse this right and we have seen clubs made to stop playing in some other sports where there have been repeated breaches. Where guidance is clearly not being adhered too, England Hockey has the right to follow up through its disciplinary procedures.
